Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Al Baraka Banking Group Chief Executive Officer Adnan Ahmed Yousuf Abdulmalik, who was accompanied by CEO and Board Member of Al Baraka Islamic Bank Mohammed Issa Al Mutawa and Deputy General Manager, Support Services Group Tarek Mahmoud Kazim.
The two sides reviewed opportunities and areas of cooperation between group and the electricity, water and renewable energy sectors. The minister praised group’s efforts and its pioneering role in the banking and investment sector. Dr. Mirza stressed the government's support for Bahrain’s banking sector and pledged all support to enhance its position and achieve progress at all levels.
The minister also reviewed possibilities for the bank to provide financial facilities for individuals and institutions wishing to install solar systems on their homes and facilities and to encourage them to use clean energy and rationalize consumption.
The visitors thanked the minister and officials for the warm reception and hospitality and for the support of the banking sector and financial institutions to serves the interests of Bahrain and its people.
The meeting was attended by Sustainable Energy Unit Adviser Dr. Khalid Ahmed Bouradash and the minister’s adviser Dr. Ahmed Hashim.
